Mount Carmel Primary School celebrated its Investiture Ceremony 2026 with great pride and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked the official appointment of the newly elected student leaders, who pledged to serve the school with dedication, honesty, and responsibility.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. The Chief Guest, Ms. Natasha Dastur, a proud Ex-Carmelite and Junior Coordinator of Mount Carmel Convent High School, was warmly welcomed. Sr. Alka, the Headmistress, presented Ms. Natasha Dastur with a sapling and a token of appreciation as a symbol of gratitude and respect. Sr. Gunvanti then welcomed Ms. Binaifer Dastur by presenting her with a sapling and a token of love, expressing the school's heartfelt appreciation for her presence.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a meaningful prayer service. Keeping alive the Carmel tradition that "Carmel is Prayer," the gathering sought God's blessings for the newly elected leaders. Special prayers were offered for wisdom, honesty, kindness, courage, and responsible leadership. The badges were blessed, and prayers were also offered for the entire Carmel family to continue working together in unity, love, and respect.
The newly elected cabinet members then entered with a March Past, followed by the pinning of badges and presentation of sashes. The Head Girl, Assistant Head Girl, House Captains and Assistant Captains of the Red (Prema), Blue (Nirmala), Green (Shanti), and Yellow (Satya) Houses, along with the Discipline, Cleanliness, and Sports Ministers, proudly received their badges and sashes from the invited guests and teachers.
A solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony followed, during which all the cabinet members pledged to perform their duties faithfully, obey school rules, be punctual, honest, and set a good example for others. The newly elected Head Girl, Aadhya Kachoriya, delivered the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the student council.
The highlight of the event was the inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Ms. Natasha Dastur, who encouraged the young leaders to lead with confidence, humility, and commitment while serving others with sincerity and dedication.
The ceremony concluded with words of gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Sisters, teachers, non-teaching staff, support staff, parents, and students for making the occasion a memorable success. The programme ended with the School Song, leaving everyone inspired by the values of leadership, service, teamwork, and the true spirit of the Carmel family.
